I just finished watching the short film, 9, and it was really good. I was really shocked that it was only 7 minutes long. It was honestly a great storyline. I honestly loved the directors directing style. Even in the seven minutes he manged to capture a beginning, middle, and an end. Your probably thinking that of course he has a beginning, middle, and end, its a full movie. The reason I say that though is because I feel that will be the hardest part for me to portray. The director did all this without using dialogue. The director let us in to his movie to let us fully understand the meaning of the movie using only visuals. Throughout the whole movie he kept his viewers on edge and kept us wanting to see more. The director used angles and shots to show the importance of each scene. In the short 7 minutes the director gave us minimal character development with the characters. The guy that didn't end up dying in the movie was first saw to be scared and timid. Then further in the movie you see him conquer his fear of the beast and find a way to kill him. I also loved how he did a cartoon version of a short film. Thhe way the director paid so close attention to the amount of detail in this movie. The detail in the stitch of the charaters in the film was closely studied. In the movie it gave a solution from the beginning to the end.
